PoolHelm Messaging Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

PoolHelm is software used by pool service businesses to operate their day-to-day work. One of the things PoolHelm lets a pool business do is send transactional text messages to their customers about their pool service — weather rescheduling, service completion, and invoice delivery. This page explains how that works for anyone receiving those messages.

Summary

Who is sending the messages

Your local pool service business is the sender. PoolHelm is the software they use to send the message; Twilio is the carrier infrastructure that delivers it. Each message is sent under your pool service business's name, not "PoolHelm."

What you can expect to receive

Messages are transactional and tied to the pool service your business provides you. These are the only kinds of text messages PoolHelm sends, and each one is sent under your pool business's name:

The very first message you receive from a business also carries this one-time notice: "Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." You will not receive marketing messages through PoolHelm.

Frequency

Frequency depends on your service schedule and the weather. Most customers receive between 2 and 10 messages per month.

Cost

Msg & data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you receive from PoolHelm. PoolHelm does not bill you directly for SMS; check with your mobile carrier for any charges that may apply.

How you opt in

Opt-in is captured by your pool service business at the time you become their customer. Typical methods include:

You will not receive PoolHelm-routed SMS unless your pool service business has marked SMS consent on your customer record. If you don't remember consenting, or you'd like SMS turned off, contact your pool service business directly, or reply STOP to any PoolHelm-routed message.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any PoolHelm-routed message. You'll receive a confirmation, and no further SMS will be sent to you from that business through PoolHelm. To resume messages later, reply START.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any PoolHelm-routed message. You can also contact your pool service business directly.
